What multimedia tools are available?
The table below contains information on the various multimedia-centered tools available to faculty and supported by the Office of eLearning.
Tool | Description |
---|---|
Isidore (Sakai LMS) |
Isidore is the chosen Learning Management System (LMS) in use at the University of
Dayton. An LMS is a portal to host course content, assessments, assignments, gradebooks,
and many other integrated learning technologies to assist and supplement the classroom
instruction. Isidore is the portal through which you and your students will conduct the
most important aspects of course communication outside of the classroom.

Zoom |
Zoom is the chosen platform for web conferencing at the University of Dayton. Zoom will
be the means by which you hold your online class sessions, office hours, and other
meetings for online or hybrid courses.

Snagit |
Snagit is a software program that allows you to create images and videos to give
feedback, create clear documentation, and show others exactly what you see. It can be
used to record video lectures using screen record, webcam recording, or a combination of
both. Snagit licenses are available to instructors only and can be requested by emailing
elearning@udayton.edu.

Warpwire | Warpwire is an integrated video software for use in Isidore. Warpwire is added as a tool in Isidore and is an ideal place for storage of course videos. Warpwire may also be used to make screen recordings, live broadcasting, and webcam recordings as well. Warpwire videos are easily integrated into course lessons, assignments, forums, announcements and even tests and quizzes. |
Learning Apps |
Learning Apps are tools developed by the Office of E-Learning in response to
instructors' requests for tools that are centered around helping students learn more
effectively. Learning apps run on the TSUGI framework. The list of Learning Apps will
grow as we build more of these tools.
